Hello, I grew up in a small town north of Kansas City and have lived in KC since 2013. My professional background includes a B.S. in Biology and 1,000 hours of training for esthetician licenses in Kansas and Missouri. I was drawn from the lab bench to learning about skin care and beauty by my interest in homeopathy and natural remedies. As many are on their own journey to health, mine lead me into researching the ingredients of popular skin care brands.

First, I wanted to figure out the most effective natural ingredients in these products to see if I could make cheaper, purely natural products to use for myself. Then, I started researching the types of preservatives, emollients, pH stabilizers, etc. that were being used and did not like what I found. Everything from irritants to carcinogens are commonly used in today's popular skin care lines. Although some ingredients may be at levels considered 'safe' by the FDA to be used, I thought 'why risk it?'.

I began searching for skin care brands that were made of just the natural key and necessary ingredients needed to provide good results, without all the extra chemicals. It was surprisingly hard. Even the top 'organic' lines had risky and unnecessary preservatives in them. Luckily, I happened upon Green Envee and and a few others. Skin care lines that use barely any preservatives in their ingredients lists, mostly organic ingredients, and the the little preservatives they do use are researched to actually be harmless and sometimes even beneficial .
